A gem on the rubber by Yoppini wasn't enough to carry the Corban to a win on Thursday, as the Corban fell to the Chemeketa (3-3) 6-5 at Chemeketa Baseball Stadium in 17 innings.

Yoppini pitched nine innings and allowed one earned run, three hits and four walks while striking out seven.

Michael Hults got on base five times in the game for the Chemeketa. He also drove in two runners. He doubled in the third inning.

Dominique Baker brought the heat against the Corban during his outing. The Corban managed just one hit off of Baker, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out five during his seven innings of work.

Nick Goodman recorded his first win of the year for the Chemeketa. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Marsh (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked three, struck out none, and allowed no runs.
