Mt. Hood vs Edmonds: 5-9

The Edmonds take out the Mt. Hood with help from Malone, 9-5

Jake Malone went 4-4 at the plate, helping the Edmonds (9-3) to a 9-5 victory over the Mt. Hood (4-8) on Sunday at Triton Field .

He tripled in the fifth inning and singled in the second, fourth, and seventh innings.

The Mt. Hood were led by a flawless day at the dish by Taylor Travess, who went 3-3 against the Edmonds' pitching. He singled in the second, fourth, and sixth innings.

Brian Way recorded his third win for the Edmonds even though he allowed five runs over seven innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered nine hits.

Nate Hunter ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in five innings, walked two and struck out five.
