A magnificent effort by Riley Benedetti spurred the Yakima Valley (9-8) to a 15-0 win in seven innings over the Green River on Saturday at Parker Field .
Benedetti had an impressive outing against the Green River (1-11)'s lineup. The Green River managed just one hit off of the the Yakima Valley's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out seven during his seven innings of work.
Six runs in the first three innings helped the Yakima Valley blow out the Green River. A passed ball, an RBI double by Alec Chaney, a two-run double by Colin Cinkovich, a hit by pitch, and a fielder's choice during the first inning supplied the early offense for the Yakima Valley.
Kasey Bailey racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Yakima Valley.
James Marshall (0-2) took the loss for the Green River. He lasted just zero innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed no runs.
