The River City Rascals (54-40) beat the Evansville Otters (48-46) 10-2 on Friday at Bosse Field after a six-run explosion in the fourth inning.

The River City Rascals scored in the fourth on an RBI single by Casey Rodrigue, , a single by Johnny Morales, a solo home run by Taylor Ard, and a solo home run by Zach Kometani.

Ard racked up three RBIs on two hits for the River City Rascals.

The Evansville Otters' lineup had no answer for Lucas Laster. Laster held the Evansville Otters hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out two.

It was a good day at the plate for the Evansville Otters' Chris Sweeney. Sweeney went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the seventh inning.

Joe Pavlovich got the win, running his season record to 2-1. He allowed one run over 3 1/3 innings. Pavlovich struck out four, walked one and gave up three hits.

Blaine Howell ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked four and struck out seven.
