Austin Amundson was cold coming off the bench, but Amundson warmed up quickly as Amundson stroked a key pinch-hit double in the five to lead the Olympic (3-0) to a 7-3 win over the Thompsons River on Saturday at RAC (Lacey).
With the score tied at two, Amundson came to the plate and doubled.
Amundson got on base three times in the game for the Olympic.
The Olympic were led by a flawless day at the dish by Collin Palau, who went 3-3 against the Thompsons River's pitching. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the sixth and eighth innings.
Ryan Gelwicks improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Olympic. He allowed one run over 2 2/3 innings. Gelwicks struck out three, walked two and gave up one hit.
