The British Columbia uses big first inning to beat the Manitoba, 10-0

A six-run explosion in the first inning spurred the British Columbia (3-2) to a 10-0 win in five innings over the Manitoba (4-3) at Julien Morin on Sunday.

The British Columbia scored in the first on a two-run double by Nicholas Favaro, an error, an error, an error, an RBI single by Nicholas Carusi, and an RBI single by Carusi.

Geoff Ehresman had two extra-base hits for the British Columbia. He singled in the first inning, doubled in the second inning, and tripled in the third inning.

Cole Ensing held the Manitoba scoreless during his five innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on three hits while ringing up four.

Jared Spearing (0-1) took the loss for the Manitoba. He allowed six runs in two-thirds of an inning, walked two and struck out one.

The British Columbia's Ehresman, Carusi and Favaro combined for eight hits and five RBIs.
