Cody Brown went 2-3, sparking the Bethesda Big Train (2-0) to an 8-6 victory over the Herndon Braves (1-2) on Tuesday at Shirley Povich Field.

He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fourth inning.

Miller Trevvett got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Trevvett struck out none, walked none and gave up no hits.

Mitch Aker was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just zero innings, walked five, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
