Dane Tofteland went 3-3 at the plate as the Okotoks Dawgs (16-12) took home a 6-1 victory over the Weyburn Beavers (17-10) at Seaman Stadium on Thursday.

He tripled in the second inning, singled in the third inning, and doubled in the fifth inning.

Trevor Swaney picked up the win for the Okotoks Dawgs. Swaney pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, seven hits and no walks while striking out three.

The Okotoks Dawgs had no answer for Tanner Ring, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Ring gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four during his three innings of work.

Dustin Doucette couldn't get it done on the bump for the Weyburn Beavers, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked two and struck out three.
