Caleb Dean went 2-5 as the Melville Millionaires (4-12) took home a 4-3 victory over the Regina Red Sox (10-9) at Currie Field on Sunday.
He singled in the first innings and tripled in the eighth inning.The Regina Red Sox couldn't get anything going so long as Ben Schweinfurth was on the hill. The Regina Red Sox managed just two hits off of Schweinfurth, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out four during his six innings of work.
Jager Toffan was solid at the plate for the Regina Red Sox. Toffan went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the seventh inning and homered in the ninth inning.
Parks Smithey (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
