Jack Gomersall threw a shutout to lift the Vienna River Dogs (18-13) to a 4-0 win over the Alexandria Aces (15-14) at Frank Mann Field in seven innings.

Gomersall held the Alexandria Aces scoreless during his seven innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on two hits while ringing up four.

The Vienna River Dogs' lineup had no answer for Trevor Eulenbach. The Vienna River Dogs managed just one hit off of Eulenbach, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his two innings of work.

Kevin Superko couldn't get it done on the hill for the Alexandria Aces, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
