The White Sands Pupfish (28-17) took down the Las Cruces Vaqueros (13-33) 11-5 on Saturday at Griggs Park after slamming the Las Cruces Vaqueros with seven runs in the fifth inning.

The White Sands Pupfish scored in the fifth on a solo home run by Wesley Wallace, a solo home run by Joe Borowski, an RBI single by Jacob Anderson, a three-run double by Ben Lott, and an RBI double by Wallace.

Wallace put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the White Sands Pupfish.

Jeremy Sandifer racked up 15 strikeouts in the the White Sands Pupfish win. Sandifer allowed three earned runs on four hits and four walks over six innings.

Alex Diaz racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Las Cruces Vaqueros. He homered in the first inning and doubled in the seventh inning.

Kellen Quintana (0-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed three runs.

The White Sands Pupfish pounded the Las Cruces Vaqueros pitching, as eight hitters combined for 17 hits, 11 RBIs and 11 runs scored.
