The Alpine Cowboys (22-17) failed to take advantage of Matt Henriksen's effort at the plate on Sunday, losing 17-14 to the Santa Fe Fuego (22-11) at Fort Marcy Park.

Henriksen blasted two home runs for the Alpine Cowboys. Henriksen went 5-6 in the game with five RBIs and two runs scored. Henriksen homered in the first and seventh innings.

Chevas Numata hit two home runs for the Santa Fe Fuego. Numata went 3-4 in the game with three RBIs and three runs scored. Numata homered in the fifth inning.

Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 31 total runs and 36 hits during the game. Relief pitchers got their fill of innings during the game, with the opposing managers using 12 pitchers in total.

Even though Brandon Hollier allowed six runs over three innings he still recorded the victory, his fourth of the season. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered seven hits.

Nico Slater (0-1) took the loss for the Alpine Cowboys. He lasted just zero innings, walked three, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
