The Santa Fe Fuego (19-8) beat the Roswell Invaders (19-15) 11-6 on Sunday at Joe Bauman Park behind Eddie Newton, who drove in four runs.

Michael Morris did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Roswell Invaders, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Jimmy Daley had an impressive outing against the Santa Fe Fuego's lineup. Daley gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out four during his 3 2/3 innings of work.

Cody Spriggins recorded his fifth win of the year for the Santa Fe Fuego. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered five hits.

Corey Lathram-Skillman couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Roswell Invaders, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
