Taft helps the Las Vegas Train Robbers down the Trinidad Triggers 7-5

Story by Narrative Science.

The Las Vegas Train Robbers (18-22) beat the Trinidad Triggers (27-13) 7-5 on Sunday at Central Park behind Steven Taft, who went 2-5 and hit a home run.

He singled in the fifth inning and homered in the seventh inning.

Caleb Bryson had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He homered in the fourth inning and doubled in the seventh inning.

Even though Casey Hood allowed five runs over seven innings he still recorded the victory, his third of the season. Hood struck out five, walked four and gave up seven hits.

Richie Anderson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
