Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Thursday as the Roswell Invaders (13-10) outscored the Las Vegas Train Robbers (9-13) 14-11.

The two teams combined for 32 hits in the game.

Jim Smith racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Roswell Invaders. He homered in the third innings, singled in the sixth inning, and doubled in the eighth innings.

Steven Taft had two extra-base hits for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. He doubled in the third and sixth innings and singled in the ninth innings.

Shane Simpkins improved to 1-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Roswell Invaders. He allowed one run over 3 2/3 innings. He struck out four, walked two and surrendered two hits.

Mustafa Hamed (0-3) took the loss for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.

The Roswell Invaders easily handled the Las Vegas Train Robbers pitching as seven hitters combined for 16 hits, 12 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
