Soren Hanson kept the Brockton Rox (12-10) off the board during his 6 2/3 innings of work and the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (15-8) beat the Brockton Rox, 6-1.

Hanson struck out nine and allowed two walks and four hits.

Bobby San Martin racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. He singled in the first innings and homered in the fourth inning.

It was a good day at the plate for the Brockton Rox's Jesus Medina. Medina went 2-4 and drove in one. He singled in the fourth inning and tripled in the eighth inning.

Robbie Coursel ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
