It took 10 innings, but the Brewster Whitecaps (22-16) managed to put away the Falmouth Commodores (13-24) 4-3 on Sunday at Arnie Allen Diamond.

With the score tied at three, Jack Meggs came to the plate and singled, scoring Colin Lyman.

JD Busfield baffled the Falmouth Commodores, striking out five batters. Busfield allowed two earned runs, six hits and one walk over six innings.

Nick Highberger recorded his fourth win of the year for the Brewster Whitecaps. He allowed one run over three innings. Highberger struck out four, walked none and gave up three hits.

Stephen Villines (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
