A walk-off single from Justin Jones brought home the winning run for the Orleans Firebirds (24-9) in a 5-4 victory over the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox at Eldredge Park on Sunday.

Jones was hot from the plate for the Orleans Firebirds. Jones went 0-0 and scored one run. He singled in the ninth inning.

Bobby Dalbec rocked the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (17-16) with two home runs. Dalbec went 2-4 in the game with three RBIs and two runs scored. Dalbec homered in the first and third innings.

Nathan Rodriguez had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the third and seventh innings.

Kit Scheetz got the win, running his season record to 2-1. Scheetz struck out none, walked none and gave up no hits.

Chad Hockin (1-1) took the loss for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out five, and allowed one run.
