The Cotuit Kettleers outdone by Blackman and the Falmouth Commodores, 5-2

Tate Blackman drove in three runs, helping the Falmouth Commodores (13-18) to a 5-2 victory over the Cotuit Kettleers (11-20) on Friday at Lowell Park.

He homered in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning.

The Cotuit Kettleers had no answer for Alex Phillips, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Cotuit Kettleers managed just three hits off of Phillips, who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out two during his six innings of work.

Kevin Ginkel was effective even in defeat, mowing down six the Falmouth Commodores batters and allowing one run.

Branden Berry had a hot bat for the Cotuit Kettleers. Berry went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the third inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Jonathan King couldn't get it done on the mound for the Cotuit Kettleers, taking a loss. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
