The Hyannis Harbor Hawks (16-11) and the Wareham Gatemen (12-14) both had scoring chances on Friday, but it was the Hyannis Harbor Hawks that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 3-1 win at McKeon Park.

It was a good day at the plate for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks' David Martinelli. Martinelli went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning.

Despite the loss, the Wareham Gatemen's Grant Dyer dominated the Hyannis Harbor Hawks' batters, giving up one run and striking out six.

Michael King improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. He allowed one run over five innings. King struck out four, walked one and gave up eight hits.

Brett Hanewich was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
