Three first-inning runs helped the Wareham Gatemen (9-8) to a 4-2 win over the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (8-9) at Spillane Field on Saturday.

The Wareham Gatemen scored in the first on an RBI single by Andrew Knizner, an RBI single by Nick Cieri, and an RBI single by Cieri.

Evan Hill pitched lights out for the Wareham Gatemen. Hill gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his five innings of work.

David Ellingson put together a nice outing. Ellingson held the Wareham Gatemen hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one.

Dustin Hunt couldn't get it done on the mound for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox, taking a loss. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
