The Harwich Mariners (14-19) and the Brewster Whitecaps (18-16) both had scoring chances on Wednesday, but it was the Harwich Mariners that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 5-3 win at Stony Brook.

Connor Justus led the Harwich Mariners' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the second inning.

Despite the loss, the Brewster Whitecaps' Hansen Butler dominated the Harwich Mariners' batters, giving up zero runs and striking out six.

Geoff Bramblett got the win, running his season record to 3-0. He allowed one run over five innings. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered eight hits.

Hunter Martin was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
