Zack Short had two extra base hits as the Chatham Anglers (2-1) took home a 3-2 victory over the Bourne Braves (0-3) at Doran Park on Wednesday.

Daniel Castano had an impressive outing against the Bourne Braves' lineup. The Bourne Braves managed just three hits off of Castano, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his five innings of work.

It was a good day at the plate for the Bourne Braves' Ryan Boldt. Boldt went 2-4 and scored one run. He singled in the first inning and tripled in the sixth inning.

Andrew Ravel pitched lights out for the Bourne Braves. The Chatham Anglers managed just four hits off of Ravel, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his five innings of work.

Jim McDade got the win, running his season record to 1-0. McDade struck out two, walked none and gave up no hits.

Austin Conway ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
