The Joliet Slammers (32-46) rolled over the Traverse City Beach Bums 12-2 on Saturday at Wuerfel Park after a seven-run rally in the fifth inning.

The Joliet Slammers scored in the fifth on an RBI double by Casey Fletcher, , a two-run single by Nate Roberts, an RBI single by Kevin McNorton, an RBI single by McNorton, and an RBI single by Joe Staley.

The Traverse City Beach Bums (45-30) were ahead early but they ultimately surrendered the lead for good. The Traverse City Beach Bums led until the fifth inning, but the Joliet Slammers took the lead back.

Roberts racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Joliet Slammers.

Dan Tobik pitched lights out for the Joliet Slammers. Tobik held the Traverse City Beach Bums hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

McNorton improved to 7-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Joliet Slammers. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Alex Phillips (2-3) took the loss for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
