Shayne Houck collected three hits, helping the Evansville Otters (40-19) to a 6-2 victory over the Traverse City Beach Bums (33-24) on Thursday at Wuerfel Park.

Connor Little pitched lights out for the Evansville Otters. Little held the Traverse City Beach Bums hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Despite the loss, the Traverse City Beach Bums' Michael Shreves dominated the Evansville Otters' batters, giving up two runs and striking out six.

Brandon Jacobs had two extra-base hits for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He homered in the fifth inning and doubled in the seventh inning.

Tommy Danczyk got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Bret Dahlson (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
