The Evansville Otters (6-2) and the Florence Freedom (5-3) both had scoring chances on Saturday, but it was the Evansville Otters that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 4-3 win at Bosse Field.

Josh Allen boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace the Evansville Otters. He singled in the fourth and sixth innings and doubled in the eighth inning.

The Florence Freedom were led by Austin Newell's hitting. Newell went 3-5 and scored one run. He singled in the first and seventh innings.

Evan Mott recorded his first win of the year for the Evansville Otters. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered two hits.

Daniel DeSimone (0-1) took the loss for the Florence Freedom. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed one run.
