The Lake Erie Crushers (49-33) beat the Gateway Grizzlies 10-2 on Wednesday at All Pro Freight Stadium after a six-run explosion in the fifth inning.

The Lake Erie Crushers scored in the fifth on a groundout by Trevor Stevens, , a two-run single by Vincent Mejia, an RBI single by Joey Burney, a single by Emmanuel Quiles, an error, and a fielder's choice.

Juan Sanchez led the Lake Erie Crushers' offensive threat, as he got on base five times in the game.

Brad Zambron brought the heat against the Gateway Grizzlies (46-37) during his outing. Zambron held the Gateway Grizzlies hitless over 3 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.

Luke Westphal was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked five, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
