Kevin McCanna held the Chatham Anglers (14-18) scoreless for 5 2/3 innings to boost the Falmouth Commodores (19-14) to a 3-0 victory.
McCanna struck out six and allowed two walks and four hits.
Kevin Newman led the Falmouth Commodores' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the eighth inning.
Zac Gallen pitched lights out for the Chatham Anglers. The Falmouth Commodores managed just three hits off of the the Chatham Anglers' pitcher, who allowed two earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his six innings of work.
Gallen ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year.
