Levi Wright went 3-3 at the plate, sparking the Ballantyne Smokies (18-10) to an 8-6 victory in seven innings over the Carolina Vipers (10-19) on Monday at Ardrey Kell High School.
He singled in the second, fourth, and sixth innings.Dalton Eisenbath pitched lights out for the Ballantyne Smokies. The Carolina Vipers managed just one hit off of the the Ballantyne Smokies' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his three innings of work.
Nick Marsit was hot from the plate for the Carolina Vipers. Marsit went 2-2 and drove in one. He singled in the fourth and sixth innings.
Keith Walsh was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
