Carolanne Cote came off the bench and never even had to swing his bat as Cote reached on a stolen base in the one to lead the Qu��bec two (1-2) to a 19-3 win over the Saskatchewan (0-3) on Friday at Stade Arvida.

Cote pulled double duty, leading the Qu��bec two on both offense and defense in the win.

Cote led the Qu��bec two's offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored two runs and had one RBI.

The Saskatchewan had no answer for Cote, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Cote held the Saskatchewan hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Eleven runs in the opening three innings allowed the Qu��bec two to easily put away the Saskatchewan. An error, an error, a two-run double by Jacinthe Forgues, a two-run double by Frederick Saint-Cyr, and a two-run double by Saint-Cyr during the first inning and an error, an error, an RBI single by Kim Gendron, an RBI single by Gendron, a wild pitch, an error, and a fielder's choice in the second inning fueled the Qu��bec two's offense early.

Karine Lafontaine recorded his first win of the year for the Qu��bec two. Lafontaine struck out one, walked two and gave up one hit.

Paige Thompson couldn't get it done on the mound for the Saskatchewan, taking a loss. He allowed 10 runs in 1 2/3 innings, walked seven and struck out three.
