Mykel Davis went 1-2, sparking the Pineville Pioneers (8-12) to a 3-2 victory in seven innings over the Ballantyne Smokies (13-9) on Tuesday.

Chuck Lawing racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Ballantyne Smokies. He homered in the fourth inning.

Spencer Kulman improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Pineville Pioneers. He allowed two runs over six innings. Kulman struck out three, walked two and gave up five hits.

Brandon Miller (2-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
