The Rockville Express (2-3) shut the door early on the Baltimore Redbirds (2-1), capturing a 15-5 victory on Sunday at Montgomery College.

Ten runs in the first three innings allowed the Rockville Express to put the game away early.

An RBI double by Brandon Benson and a two-run double by Benson during the first inning and an RBI double by Cole Warrenfeltz, an RBI double by Romeo Cortina, an RBI double by Cortina, and an RBI double by Benson in the second inning helped the Rockville Express put some runs on the board early.

The Rockville Express' Warrenfeltz was perfect at the dish, going 2-2.

The Baltimore Redbirds were led by Brad Garrant's hitting. Garrant went 2-4 and drove in one. He tripled in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth innings.

Daniel Gurganus improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Rockville Express. He allowed four runs over seven innings. Gurganus struck out seven, walked two and gave up eight hits.

Chris Farish (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed 10 runs in three innings, walked one and struck out none.

The Rockville Express easily handled the Baltimore Redbirds pitching as six hitters combined for 13 hits, 13 RBIs and 14 runs scored.
