The D.C. Grays (0-1) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 8-7 to the Alexandria Aces (1-0) on Wednesday.

While the D.C. Grays led until the sixth inning, the Alexandria Aces worked their way back and took the lead on an RBI single by Jake Kuzbel.

Tyler Brazelton was hot from the plate for the Alexandria Aces. Brazelton went 4-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the first, third, fourth, and fifth innings.

Tyler Zamjahn pitched lights out for the Alexandria Aces. Zamjahn gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out six during his 3 2/3 innings of work.

Lucas Martinez racked up six RBIs on two hits for the D.C. Grays. He homered in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

Andre Wilson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
