Chad Adkins kept the Pineville Pioneers (11-15) off the board during his six innings of work and the Lake Norman Copperheads (16-13) beat the Pineville Pioneers, 2-0.

Adkins struck out six and allowed no walks and four hits.

Josh Genthe went a perfect 4-4 at the plate for the Lake Norman Copperheads. He singled in the first, third, sixth, and eighth innings.

Tyler Byrnes (0-2) took the loss for the Pineville Pioneers. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
