Derek Hirsch came off the bench and never even had to swing his bat as Hirsch reached on a error in the four to lead the Pineville Pioneers (9-13) to a 7-5 win over the Carolina Vipers (10-16) on Friday at Jack Hughes Park.

Patrick Haynes was charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in six innings, walked two and struck out one.
