Keith Walsh kept the Lake Norman Copperheads (11-7) off the board during his five innings of work and the Carolina Vipers (8-11) beat the Lake Norman Copperheads, 5-4.

Walsh struck out four and allowed two walks and three hits.

The Lake Norman Copperheads had the lead early, but couldn't hold off the Carolina Vipers. The Lake Norman Copperheads led until the twelfth inning, but the Carolina Vipers took the lead back on an error.

Jace Whitley did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Carolina Vipers, reaching base three times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the fifth inning and homered in the seventh inning.

Austin Wynn improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Carolina Vipers. Wynn struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit.

Hunter Dodson was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
