Joel Booker went 1-3 and hit a home run, helping the Pineville Pioneers (3-3) to a 4-1 victory over the Lake Norman Copperheads (3-5) on Friday.

The Lake Norman Copperheads couldn't get anything going so long as Tyler Byrnes was on the hill. The Lake Norman Copperheads managed just one hit off of Byrnes, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

Spencer Kulman recorded his first win of the year for the Pineville Pioneers. He allowed one run over three innings. Kulman struck out four, walked one and gave up two hits.

Josh Bottenfield (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
