The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (17-14) beat the Chatham Anglers (14-16) 6-3 on Thursday at Veterans Field behind Jesse Jenner, who went 2-4.

Cody Poteet allowed two earned runs, five hits and three walks while striking out three over seven innings of work.

Jake Fraley got on base three times in the game for the Chatham Anglers. He singled in the fourth and ninth innings.

Phil Bickford improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. He struck out four, walked none and surrendered two hits.

P.J. Conlon couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Chatham Anglers, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
