An exceptional effort by Jason Inghram lifted the Harwich Mariners (2-0) to a 10-0 win over the Brewster Whitecaps on Thursday at Stony Brook.

Inghram held the Brewster Whitecaps (1-1) scoreless for seven innings. Inghram struck out eight and allowed no walks and two hits.

The Harwich Mariners' bats came to life in the fourth inning. The Harwich Mariners' bats caught fire leading to six runs. The Harwich Mariners scored in the fourth on an error, an RBI double by Alex Perez, an RBI single by Matt Gonzalez, an RBI single by Gonzalez, a hit by pitch, and a two-run single by Sal Annunziata.

Ian Happ did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Harwich Mariners, reaching base three times. He scored three runs and had one RBI. He singled in the first and third innings.

Dylan Silva was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in three innings, walked four and struck out four.
