Michael Forgione went 2-3, sparking the Medicine Hat Mavericks (13-7) to a 9-6 victory in eight innings over the Yorkton Cardinals (7-11) on Thursday at Jubilee Park.

Kameron Mizzell racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Yorkton Cardinals. He singled in the first inning and homered in the third inning.

Myles Richards recorded his third win of the year for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He allowed two runs over four innings. He struck out four, walked two and surrendered five hits.

Clay Rideout (1-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked four, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
