Michael Olson had two extra base hits, sparking the Medicine Hat Mavericks (9-5) to a 7-4 victory over the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets (4-8) on Saturday at Athletic Park.

He singled in the second innings and doubled in the third inning.

Myles Richards recorded his second win of the year for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He allowed one run over two innings. Richards struck out none, walked three and gave up one hit.

Ross Mortenson (0-2) took the loss for the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed three runs.

Jose Cruz, Garrett Wiese and Olson helped lead the Medicine Hat Mavericks. They combined for eight hits and four RBIs.
