The Hannibal Cavemen scored in the first on a groundout by Jeff Smith, a two-run single by Josh Griffith, and an RBI double by Tyler Bethune.
James Ball pitched lights out for the Hannibal Cavemen. Ball held the Springfield Sliders hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out none.
Riley Spetz went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for the Springfield Sliders. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the seventh inning.
