The Chillicothe Paints (21-9) outlasted the West Virginia Miners (19-13) at Linda K. Epling Stadium 5-4 on Wednesday after 10 innings.

With the score tied at four in the tenth inning, Alex Ritchie came to the plate and singled, scoring Ronnie Dawson.

Dawson had a hot bat for the Chillicothe Paints. Dawson went 3-5 and scored three runs. He singled in the fourth, sixth, and tenth innings.

The West Virginia Miners had no answer for Jason Johnson, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Johnson gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three during his three innings of work.

Dalton Curtis couldn't get it done on the bump for the West Virginia Miners, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
