Matt Sergey kept the Windy City ThunderBolts (23-33) off the board during his six innings of work and the Gateway Grizzlies (34-21) beat the Windy City ThunderBolts, 6-1.

Sergey allowed two hits, four walks and struck out four.

Chris McClendon had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the fourth and seventh innings and singled in the ninth inning.

Jayce Ray was hot from the plate for the Windy City ThunderBolts. Ray went 3-5. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third and eighth innings.

Brian Oliver (0-2) took the loss for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He lasted just seven innings, walked four, struck out four, and allowed five runs.

The Gateway Grizzlies were sparked by Jonathan Johnson and McClendon, who teamed up for five hits and two RBIs.
