The Traverse City Beach Bums take out the Washington Wild Things with help from Wrenn, 6-2

Taylor Wrenn had two extra base hits as the Traverse City Beach Bums (17-11) took home a 6-2 victory over the Washington Wild Things (15-12) at Consol Energy Park on Tuesday.

He singled in the first innings, tripled in the fifth inning, and homered in the ninth inning.

The Washington Wild Things' lineup had no answer for Chris Squires. Squires held the Washington Wild Things hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.

Gary Lee handled the Traverse City Beach Bums' lineup with ease, racking up seven strikeouts. Lee allowed two earned runs on five hits and two walks over seven innings.

Jacob Clem recorded his fourth win of the year for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He allowed two runs over six innings. Clem struck out two, walked two and gave up eight hits.

Lee (2-2) took the loss for the Washington Wild Things.

The Traverse City Beach Bums were sparked by Wrenn and Chase Burch, who teamed up for five hits and five RBIs.
