The Weyburn Beavers (4-6) were never able to get over the hump and overcome their troubles against the Moose Jaw Miller Express (6-8) on Saturday, as the Weyburn Beavers fell 2-1 at Ross Wells Park after falling behind by two runs in the fourth inning.

The Weyburn Beavers scored one run in the sixth on an RBI double by Mike Gershman. Still, the Weyburn Beavers couldn't draw even.

Logan Carter's seven strikeouts helped the Moose Jaw Miller Express to the victory. Carter allowed one earned run on three hits and five walks over six innings.

Ryan Shaw (0-1) took the loss for the Weyburn Beavers. He lasted just seven innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
