A superb effort by Ryan Castadio carried the Medicine Hat Mavericks (4-0) to a 5-0 win over the Lethbridge Bulls (1-2) on Friday at Spitz Stadium.

Castadio struck out 10, paving the way for a the Medicine Hat Mavericks win. The Medicine Hat Mavericks' pitcher tossed seven innings of shutout ball and allowed only two hits.

Joel Lutz racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He singled in the third and seventh innings and homered in the ninth inning.

Matt Redfearn did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Lethbridge Bulls, reaching base three times. He tripled in the seventh inning.

Dennis Neal (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed one run.
