The White Sands Pupfish (26-38) beat the Trinidad Triggers (34-31) 9-3 on Friday at Aquarium after a six-run explosion in the seventh inning.
Ernie Munoz racked up two RBIs on four hits for the White Sands Pupfish. He singled in the first, fifth, and eighth innings.
J.R. Bromberg looked sharp on the mound. Bromberg held the Trinidad Triggers hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.
Wink Nolan racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Trinidad Triggers. He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the seventh inning.
Anthony Smith (4-2) took the loss for the Trinidad Triggers. He allowed seven runs in six innings, walked one and struck out three.
