Kellen Lee hit two home runs, but it wasn't enough to carry the Santa Fe Fuego (25-28) to a win on Thursday, as the Santa Fe Fuego fell to the White Sands Pupfish (21-33) 16-11 at Fort Marcy Park in eight innings.
Both squads had things going at the plate, tallying 27 runs and 27 hits, including zero extra base hits. Both bullpens were busy with nine pitchers used in the game as the skippers of both squads tried to finish it off.
Christian Ramirez racked up four RBIs on three hits for the White Sands Pupfish. He doubled in the first innings, homered in the fifth inning, and singled in the eighth inning.
Justin Mauldin improved to 1-4 on the year by picking up the win for the White Sands Pupfish. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits.
Jon Sintes was charged with his sixth loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked four and struck out three.
