The NY NJ Comets scored six runs in the fourth on a two-run single by Brittney Lindley, a solo home run by Bianca Mejia, a two-run single by Amanda Kamekona, and a solo home run by Courtney Liddle.
Dorian Shaw racked up four RBIs on four hits for the NY NJ Comets. She doubled in the third and fifth innings and singled in the first and seventh innings.
Taylor Schlopy racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Akron Racers. She doubled in the second innings and singled in the first and sixth innings.
Angel Bunner got her third win for the NY NJ Comets despite allowing five runs over seven innings. She struck out two, walked three and surrendered 12 hits.
Ivy Renfroe ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with her ninth loss of the year. She allowed eight runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked four and struck out one.
